Real Women....
I have to hand it to Hanne... she said it far easier than I could. We are all beautiful - and there is no wrong way to have a body!
*** This is not my original posting behind the link. That is property of HanneBlank.com -- please do not pass her work off as your own. It is just lame.

Swatchfest -- Loose Pigment Eyeshadows
Last night I decided to break down and swatch all my loose pigments and eyeshadows. Below are the results - Most of these are BE, some are MAC, some are Fyrinnae (LOVE this company.)
Enjoy! If you have questions, or need a better swatch of a color - leave a comment!
There are about 11 more swatches to come -- along with some palette porn of my extralaces palettes.

Extreme Couponing???
Hubby and I saw this last night - some of those women (and men) are kinda scary, ok really scary. The twins that were on last night were buying diapers -- but have no kids. I am all for using coupons and saving big - but at the same time I don't buy things I don't need (or 50 of things at one time). Coupons are about saving money - not buying because you have a coupon. I also refuse to seperate everything into 10 transactions to get money off. My time is worth money too - and I don't professionally shop for a living.
I also found a new way to store my coupons -- Coupon Organizer
This is by a company called 4 Best Bargains. They make the organizer and also the pre-printed sorter cards to go with it. While I love my binder, I found it harder with the arthritis in my hands to use. I am hoping the organizer will do better for me. I will update you when it arrives.
There is a new group on facebook as well - message me privately or leave a comment and I will be glad to send you a link to join. :) Currently it is for TRADING unused coupons only -- not selling. This is a way to help each other out not make a profit.
Always,
WaxWoman

Trying to trim your grocery bill?
Coupons are your friend -- seriously. So is your grocery list, and reading your area store specials. No, you don't have to drive all over town to get a good deal. Just look at the specials for stores you pass on the way home - or shop at anyway. I fill prescriptions at a chain drug store (CVS) - so I browse their specials. They are 5 minutes from my house, so it isn't a big deal - I use my store card and save big on items I need anyway. Those extra care bucks really add up - especially when used with coupons.
I normally shop at one grocery store - that will accept store coupons from other stores and double manufacture's coupons. I usually save 25-30.00 a week on my shopping.
The biggest myth to coupons is they are all for junk. Not true. If you google the coupon you are looking for you will probably find it. I download the majority of my coupons from www.redplum.com, www.coupons.com, www.target.com, and www.smartsource.com. All of these sites are free and you can print 2 copies of each coupon. I usually try to buy a Sunday Paper, but not always. I usually am able to get all the coupons I need weekly from the internet. If you are in the south - another great site is www.southernsavers.com. This great site lists ALL the sales in grocery stores in the south -- with links to their printable coupons! Doesn't get much easier than that.
Make your coupon binder - use a 3 ring binder and trading card pages. You can usually find these in your local mega store - or in a trading card store. I organize mine by the aisles in the grocery store - but do what works best for you. I have dividers placed in my binder telling me which coupons are in each section. When I make my list, I pull out the coupons and put them in the front pocket. Easy. All I do is take my binder to the grocery store with my list.
I don't spend hours a week doing this -- I usually do it on Sunday's while I am watching TV. Let me know how the system works for you -- money saved on groceries is money you can spend elsewhere!

Welcome to Musings of a Wax Woman!
Most of you know I work for a national direct sell candle company - I am also obsessed with interior design, saving money, and my dogs. This blog is part wax, part decorating, part dog, part coupons and recipes, and of course - part cosmetics. I look forward to sharing with you!
